Its a new month and season. I love the summer and month of June minus the deep south humidity , rowdy children out on summer break . This month is special as its my birthday month and 2 months since the loss of our first born . We oftentimes hear about the 1 in 4 , but neglect to fully unpack the pain of it. I like so many mothers that lose their unborn tend to hide behind grief until it become expulsive . That being said , I chose this past month to start therapy . Its been very impactful as a follower and disciple of Jesus Christ , but also as a wife and mother.

Today, I chose to combat depression and the crippling dew of grief by getting up and going to a local coffee shop. As I embrace this new season , my goal is to no longer hide behind " I'm fine ." So I encourage any mother and father experiencing postpartum depression and miscarriage to first acknowledge it , then seek the necessary help . You are not alone . I have included some helpful resources and would love to come alongside you on this journey !
